Minerals rough

At De Goudsbloem you will find a wide range of raw minerals and gemstones.

Buy raw gems and minerals
Raw minerals and gemstones are natural stones in their original state and have not been processed. These are found all over the world such as in rocks, mountains, caves or other rocks and are often millions of years old. Raw gemstones are usually unprocessed. Since these gemstones and minerals have not been processed, they retain their original energy.

Different types and sizes
Raw unprocessed minerals and gems can be used for yourself as well as for decoration in your home or for energy work such as gem grids and on altars. For many people, a raw stone symbolizes the pure power of nature. Raw gemstones are also greatly loved by collectors. At De Goudsbloem you will find unique raw gemstones and minerals. From small to large specimens. You will find both the well-known and very unique varieties with us.

Difference of operation between rough and polished stones
Raw minerals and gemstones mainly affect the physical level and are purer in energy. Tumbled stones work on both the physical and emotional levels. Cut gems would have a different energy than raw ones, the energy would also flow differently. The polished shapes are used by many people for a special purpose. These shapes such as Buddhas, spheres, dragons, eggs, angels, hearts, pyramids, pocket stones and skulls can be found in our polished minerals

How do you use raw minerals and gemstones?
All raw gemstones and minerals have their own qualities and energy. Once you have purchased your stone, it will take a while to adjust and connect with your energy. Tune in to your stone so that it will work more powerfully and specifically for you. You can do this by holding meditation and standing in your hands. Then visualize how the energy of your gemstone connects with you. You can also give an intention to your stone.

You can carry this gem with you every day or you can hold it at certain times.

Taking care of raw gemstones
Gemstones and Minerals absorb the negative energy from your environment. It is therefore of the utmost importance that you take good care of your stones. The raw gemstones are cared for like all other stones. Clean them regularly. You can do this by using rock crystal and/or hematite. You can also rinse them under running water or by placing them in the moonlight.

Crystallized A to B

At De Goudsbloem you will find a beautiful collection of crystallized minerals and gemstones. Imported from the many countries we know. Below you will find an explanation of exactly what crystallized minerals and gemstones are.

Most minerals in nature occur as crystals. The shapes of the crystals depend on the regular arrangement of the atoms. (internal building blocks of the crystal), the crystal lattice. The atoms and molecules of crystals are arranged in exact geometric patterns such as faces, edges and angles. Their mutual ratio and the angles are always constant. The crystals are divided into 7 crystal systems according to their symmetry (mirror planes, rotation axes and center of symmetry).

You will find minerals with crystal lattices in the shapes of rectangles, hexagons, squares, rhombuses, parallelograms and trapezoids as the basic structure. There are no more species, but there are variations of these.

Geodes

At De Goudsbloem we have a varied collection of geodes. The most famous geodes are of the minerals:

– agate
– Amethyst
– rock crystal
– Calcite
– Citrine

Buying geode
Geode (mineralogy)
A geode or druse is a hollow or partially hollow, globe-shaped tubercle that is covered with crystals on the inside. Usually geodes are between 2.5 and 30 centimeters in size, but this can vary widely. They are found in sedimentary rocks and are sometimes very precious.

Origin
A geode consists of a thin but tight outer layer of silicates, usually filled with a layer of quartz crystals such as amethyst or smoky quartz, but may also contain rutile or calcite. There are also specimens whose cavity contains water. They are said to have formed as "bubbles" in the liquid magma that rose in a crater pipe during an eruption. Just as bubbles collect in boiling milk under the membrane that forms on the milk, gas bubbles get stuck in the magma. These gas-filled cavities persist after the magma solidifies and fill with saturated mineral solutions. A geode is formed as a layer of silica in a host chamber, usually a fossil cavity in the rock. The minerals in the water, which runs along the hardened outer shell, form crystals in the silica layer. Crystals then slowly grow in the cavities. Agate is formed in the same way.

If you weigh geodes and compare their weight, the lightest in weight can sometimes contain beautiful crystals. Geodes are sawed in half or broken in half with special pliers to reveal the interior.

Geodes Sites
The Geodes are mainly found in the soil of sedimentary and volcanic rocks. These are mainly found in Brazil, Uruguay, Mexico, the United States, India, and Namibia. There are also areas within Europe where geodes are found. Especially in Germany, Hungary and Bulgaria.

Cleaning and charging
Geodes cleanse themselves and can charge and purify other gems and minerals. Place the stones in the geode for half to a full day volledig
