Tuning forks are two-tooth metal or aluminum forks. When a tuning fork is struck, a vibration frequency is created in a certain pitch. A tuning fork never deviates from its tone.

Weighted and unweighted tuning forks

The weighted tuning forks are used for physical healing. These have a round weight at the end. These are heavier than the unweighted tuning forks and have a stronger vibration and longer tone.
Unweighted forks contain no weights and are lighter. These give a shorter sound and are used to optimize the emotional, mental and spiritual level.
